About This Project

Planned as one of Munich’s major northern expansion areas, Lerchenauer Feld is being developed through a comprehensive urban planning process that brings together housing, social infrastructure, and public open space within a shared neighborhood framework. The site spans approximately 23 hectares and is intended to evolve into a new urban quarter over an extended period of time. Realized in multiple phases, Lerchenauer Feld represents an ongoing transformation rather than a finished condition. As such, it offers a platform for civic dialogue on how new urban areas take shape, how open spaces are defined over time, and how planning decisions interact with lived experience.
